FLUSHING, Ohio (WTRF) – A Belmont County man wanted for child pornography has fled the area with his wife and two children, according to the Belmont County Sheriff.

In the late afternoon on Thursday, detectives from the sheriff’s office served a search warrant after they received evidence that John Garwon III had been sharing child pornography on the internet.

At Garwon’s residence, detectives found Wesley Burdge, his roommate. After Burdge told them that Garwon worked at a nearby restaurant, the detectives gathered various digital media devices and left. Detectives returned around 10 minutes later after learning that Garwon left work, and found that Burdge left the residence with his children.

This prompted the detectives to conduct an initial forensic review of some of the evidence gathered from the first visit and found that Burdge was also in possession of child pornography. A “be on the lookout” was immediately put out for both Garwon and Burdge.

Garwon was placed in custody and told authorities that he and Burdge share child pornography together and that they had targeted children for them to sexually abuse. He is being housed in the Belmont County Jail on $40,000 bond.

Burdge fled the area with his girlfriend, Tabitha Gallagher, and their two small children. Detectives are looking to question Gallagher as a person of interest.

They were last known to be driving a silver 2002 Honda Odyssey with Ohio plates HBS-4801. Sheriff David Lucas strongly requests anyone with any information to contact the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office.
