Student abducted at gunpoint from OSU Mansfield campus parking lot

MANSFIELD, Ohio (WCMH) — Police say an Ohio State Mansfield Campus student was abducted at gunpoint late Monday morning.

According to an Ohio State public safety notice, Skylar Williams was standing in a parking lot on campus when she was approached by Ty’rell Pounds. Police said Pounds displayed a handgun and forced her into a minivan.

According to the alert, Pounds and Williams know each other. Police released a photo of the two together.

Police say the two may be in a 2019 Dodge Caravan, dark in color, with Ohio license plate FMZ-9621.

Anyone with details on Pounds’ whereabouts, or the whereabouts of Skylar Williams, should call the Mansfield Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol at 419-756-2222. Do not approach the suspect. He is believed to be armed and dangerous.
