Police arrest woman in alleged elementary school ax attack

NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (KLAS) - NORTH LAS VEGAS - A 33-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday for allegedly wielding an ax near E. Tonopah Avenue and Palmer Street.

North Las Vegas Police said they received a call about Kisstal Killough's behavior just before noon.  Authorities were dispatched to the area near Williams Elementary near the 3000 block of E. Tonopah Avenue.

Officers said witnesses told them the 33-year-old woman tried to climb the chain link fence near the school with a pickaxe in her hand.  She was allegedly also talking about killing everyone. 

Eventually, police were able to get her off the fence and take her into custody.

Killough faces the following charges:

  • Assault with a deadly weapon
  • Trespass not amounting to burglary
  • Maintain permit nuisance
  • Loitering about school/ place where children congregate
