Traffic stop in Beckley finds $30,000 worth of heroin

Beckley Police found heroin and methamphetamine when then stopped a vehicle on South Kanawha Street on Sunday, Oct. 28, 2018.  Devin Isaiah Cresce, 22, of Beckley is charged with two counts of Possession with Intent to Deliver and DUI.

The traffic stop happened at 10:50 p.m. on Sunday night.  The officer detected signs of drug use and called in a K9 team to check out the vehicle.  A search of the car turned up 179 grams of heroin and 22 grams of methamphetamine.  Investigators estimate the street value of the drugs at $30,000.

Cresce was arraigned and taken to the Southern Regional Jail.  His bond is set at $25,000.
