UPDATE (6:55 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3): The names involved in a body found outside St. Mary’s Hospital in Huntington have been released.
According to Cabell County deputies, Eric Williams, 43 of Spencer, is the name of the man who was wrapped in carpet.
Josh Daniel, of Salt Rock, and Ryan Fitzsimmons, of Hurricane, are the two that were in possession of the body, according to deputies.
Daniel and Fitzsimmons are both being charged with the concealment of a dead body, which is a felony. They are being held at the Western Regional Jail.
UPDATE (4:58 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3): According to the Cabell County Sheriff’s Office, two men are being charged in connection to this incident.
The body was taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Charleston.
The identities of the two men have not yet been released.
HUNTINGTON, WV (WOWK) – According to Cabell County dispatchers, they received a call around 6:20 Tuesday morning about a body discovered outside St. Mary’s Hospital in one of the hospital parking lots.
According to Cabell County Sheriff, Chuck Zerkle, two people in a car brought a body to the hospital Tuesday morning. The car has been blocked off by law enforcement on hospital grounds. The main entrance to the hospital is open.
There is no ID and no info on what happened to the deceased person prior to arrival at the hospital at this time. Huntington police and sheriff’s detectives are working the scene. The two people who brought the body to the hospital are being questioned by law enforcement.
