“It was a raucous night as approximately 400 people gather at a business at the North Central West Virginia Airport in Bridgeport. Vice President Mike Pence campaigning for U.S. Senate nominee Patrick Morrisey, currently the Attorney General of West Virginia. Morrisey is locked in a tight race with Senator Joe Manchin.
“Today I’ll make you a promise. You send Patrick Morrisey to the U.S. Senate with renewed Republican majorities, we’re going to secure our border; we’re going to build the wall; we’re going to close the loopholes,” said Vice President Mike Pence
“Vice President Pence really did a great job laying out the contrast. I’m the conservative fighter who’s going to help West Virginia; help advance the Trump jobs agenda. Joe Manchin is a dishonest Washington liberal,” said Attorney General Patrick Morrisey, (R) Nominee for U.S. Senate.
Morriesy believes the race is tighteing and polls that show Manchin with a wider lead are inaccurate. Morrisey believes this is going to be very close.
“I think we’re dead even right now. I know that with Vice President Pence coming in, Donald Trump Jr, coming in; President Trump we’re hopeful he is coming back, yet again,” said Morrisey.
The biggest applause of the night went for immigration reform and the performance of the U.S. economy. Pence says he needs Patrick Morrisey to help on those issues in the U.S. Senate.
“We will make America great again. Let’s go get it done. Let’s go get it done West Virginia,” said Pence to cheers.
Pence has campaign twice for Morrisey in West Virginia. President Trump has also been here twice.
“With just over two weeks to go before Election Day, the biggest question is, will there be any more Presidential or Vice Presidential visits on behalf of Republican candidates,” said 13 News Chief Political Reporter Mark Curtis.
