Watch: Charleston Police Make Arrest...

CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) - A suspect is under arrest on an outstanding breaking and entering warrant in Charleston.

According to Lt. Autumn Davis, public information officer for the Charleston Police Department, Dameon Forney, 41, of Charleston, is charged with that warrant and fleeing, Davis said.

Detectives with the Charleston Police Department released a Be on the Lookout (BOLO) bulletin for Forney and another individual connected the the case on Friday.

That other suspect’s name has not yet been released.

A patrol officer received information that Forney was parked along Red Oak Street Saturday afternoon, driving a red pickup truck.

That officer attempted to perform a traffic stop on the truck, and Forney took off, Davis said.

A short vehicle pursuit ensued.

Forney got out of his truck along Patrick Street and 7th Avenue and attempted to flee on foot.

Davis said it did not take officers long to apprehend him.

Forney will be arraigned in Kanawha County Magistrate Court shortly, where his bond will be set.

More information on the case will be available in court documents made available following the arraignment.
