UPDATE (6:06 p.m. on Wednesday, May 17): A man was arrested in Ashland after a shooting in Huntington that sent one person to the hospital, according to the Huntington Police Department.
The Huntington Police Department says 37-year-old Christopher Williams, of Ashland, Kentucky, was charged with malicious assault and wanton endangerment for a shooting in the 1000 block of Jefferson Ave. in Huntington Wednesday morning.
Williams was arrested by the Ashland Police Department SWAT team in the 3100 block of Central Ave. in Ashland around 4 p.m. on Wednesday, according to officers.
The arrest was a joint effort between the Huntington Police Department, the Ashland Police Department and the Northeast Kentucky Drug Task Force.
HUNTINGTON, WV (WOWK) — An 18-year-old man is being taken to the hospital after being shot in Huntington on Wednesday, according to Cabell County dispatchers.
Dispatchers say this happened in the 1000 block of Jefferson Ave. around 10:54 a.m.
The Huntington Police Department says the victim has non-life-threatening injuries.
No one has been arrested, according to dispatchers.
