Charleston Police investigating reports of shots fired on West Side

Charleston Police responded to a call of shots fired on the city’s West Side on Tuesday, February 2 around 2:30 p.m.

Witnesses at the scene reported seeing a black male in a green jacket shooting up McQueen Street from Stuart Street.  

Those same witnesses said they heard five shots and saw the male suspect holding the handgun sideways as he was firing.

No injuries were reported.  Officers were unable to recover any shell casings from the area.

No suspects have been taken into custody.
