The Charleston Fire Department were called to the scene of a house fire on the 800 block of Washington St. W. early Friday morning.
It broke out shortly after 5 a.m. near the corner of Park and Washington.
Flames could be seen shooting out of the top of the roof.
We are told two homes next to the one that caught fire have also been damaged.
Washington St. had to be shut down in the area as crews worked to put out the flames.
