Deputies seize more than two pounds of heroin in Raleigh County

RHODELL, W.Va. (WVNS) – One person is behind bars after law enforcement search a home and find more than two pounds of heroin.

The Beckley/Raleigh County Violent Crimes Task Force, along with the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team and the K-9 unit, searched a home on Coal City Road in Rhodell on Tuesday, May 7. 

During the search, they reportedly found 2.6 pounds of heroin, which is equal to 12,000 doses and worth $168,000. They also seized three guns and $4,217 in cash. Berry Allen Lilly was arrested and charged with possession with the intent to deliver.

According to the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Department, this seizure was part of an ongoing drug investigation. Deputies believe this seizure will disrupt the heroin trade in Rhodell, Coal City, Josephine, Ghent, Flat Top, and surrounding areas.
