A national non-profit is on a mission to prove that mental health matters.

H.U.M.A.N.I.T.Y 360, INCwas founded as a way to promote mental wellness, while reducing the stigma associated with suicide and mental health. As part of their mission, volunteers are traveling across the country stoping in all 50 states. It’s called the “Joy Tour” and the Capital City is it’s latest stop.

H360 is a non-profit organization originally founded in 2014 by Shontice McKenzie. At the time, the acronym stood for Helping Us Make A New-Interaction in Todays Youth. It was geared towards reducing the number of students medicated for ADHD in the DC, MD, VA area by using a meditative technique named Mindfulness.

The group, left on their tour in September of 2018 and will return home to Washington D.C. in 2023.
