PUTNAM COUNTY – Deputies are looking for a missing man from Putnam County.

According to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department, Ryan Young, 32, of Hurricane, was last seen by his mother Monday, Sept. 21, 2020. Deputies say he was traveling from Hurricane to New Martinsville, WV. He did not report for work Tuesday, and his cell phone has been found in Huntington. Deputies say he has no known ties to that area and would have been traveling in the opposite direction of Huntington for work.

Deputies say Young was driving his vehicle, a white 2013 Ford Focus 4-door hatchback with WV license plate number WV54U657. The vehicle has not been located.

Young is described as 5’9″tall, weighing 160 pounds and bald with blue-green eyes, according to deputies. He was last seen wearing a white shirt, blue jeans and a hat.

The sheriff’s department says his family has told them it is not like Young not to make his whereabouts known and they are extremely concerned for his well-being.

Anyone who has seen young or knows his whereabouts is asked to contact the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department at (304)586-0256 or (304)586-0214.
