Skeletal remains were found in a rental home in Weston, according to police.

Officers with the Weston Police Department received a call on Wednesday, November 28 from someone believing to have found human skeletal remains in a rental home, the Police Department said.

Officers said they went to the rental home and confirmed the call. The remains were then sent to the state medical examiner in Charleston, officers said.

Chief Josh Thomas of the Weston Police Department said that this is an ongoing investigation, and police are not releasing any further information at this time in fear that it could compromise the case.
