Murder suspect Andrew King is being video arraigned Saturday evening before being lodged in South Central Regional Jail.
On Wednesday, officers searched for King in the Walton area of Roane County after evading from police on a stolen ATV before wrecking it and fleeing on foot.
Later that evening, officers received word that King was located on the porch of a nearby residence, where shots rang out.
Officers arrived on scene and found Danny Marks unconscious from a gunshot wound to the head before fleeing. Marks later passed away from his injuries.
While officers searched for King, shots were fired next door at a residence, where Terri Marks was shot in the leg.
King was later apprehended after being found hiding in the weeds across the street. He is charged with attempted murder and murder.
State police have confirmed Andrew Justin King is now in custody. We are told he was found hiding in the weeds across the street from where a shooting took place last night in Roane County.
Crews searched throughout the night and morning for King along 119 between Clendenin and Walton.
Roane County deputies tell us he is accused of threatening to kill his family, then fleeing and shooting two bystanders. One female bystander is said to be ok, but the condition of the second is unknown.
Traffic is moving on Rt. 119 again between McKown’s Creek and Ambler’s Ridge, it had previously been shut down due to the search.
