West Virginia woman accused of having sex with teenage boy

ELKINS, WV (WBOY) - West Virginia State Police arrested a woman accused of having sex with a teenage boy back in the summer.

Police said on August 28, a trooper attended a forensic interview of a boy, 14, at the Randolph-Tucker Children's Advocacy Center in Elkins.  During this interview, the boy told police that during the summer months, Corenia Summerfield, 43, of Elkins, started kissing the boy on the neck, which resulted in the boy receiving hickeys.  The boy told police he said "no" one time, but after that he gave into Summerfield's advances.

Police said the boy told them this incident continued until he lost his virginity to Summerfield.  On November 29, during an interview with Summerfield, police said Summerfield confessed that there was a relationship between her and the boy, and that she and the boy had sex one time while the boy was staying the night with her son at her home.

Summerfield is charged third degree sexual assault.  Summerfield is in Tygart Valley Regional Jail.
