Crash on I-64 Injures 2, DOH Responding to Damaged Guardrail

Dispatchers say two people are injured after a crash on I-64 Wednesday night.

The crash was reported near mile marker 56 of I-64, not far from the Montrose exit around 7:45 p.m.

Dispatchers say a single vehicle struck a guardrail and went into a ditch. 

Two people, including one juvenile, were injured in the crash after being entrapped. Their specific injuries are not known at this time.

Two westbound lanes were closed as a result of the crash but have since reopened.

The WV DOH has responded to work on fixing the guardrail. 

The South Charleston Fire Department, South Charleston Police Department, Kanawha County EMS, and Charleston Medics are responding to the scene.
