Crews are investigating after an overnight fire in Charleston.

The fire broke out around 3:30 a.m. in a vacant building at the corner of Washington St. and Stockton.

Firefighters tell us it took them about 10 minutes to get the fire put out and when they arrived on scene smoke was so thick in the area it was difficult to see.

Crews tell us nobody was inside the building at the time of the fire.
