HUNTINGTON, WV (WOWK) – It was a Sunday showdown in Huntington between Marshall and Ohio on the hardwood.

The Herd scored a season-high 86 points in a 14 point win over a very talented Bobcats team.

A pair of Marshall players reached milestones in the win as Jarrod West and Taevion Kinsey both scored their 1000th career point. West did so first becoming the 55th player in program history to do so, Kinsey followed shortly after becoming the 56th player to join the exclusive club.

Kinsey had a game high 28 points, West finished with 14.

After the victory Jarrod West reflected on joining the 1000 point club in program history, saying, “It’s a great honor and a lot of company there. It’s a blessing. I’m grateful we’re able to play right now. It’s an honor and an accomplishment to be a part of that company now.”

Up next for the unbeaten Herd, a home meeting against Toledo on Wednesday night.
