UPDATE (10:45 p.m. on Thursday, April 6): Neighbors are speaking out as their waiting for answers from police after a shooting incident left 41-year-old Jermaine Johnson fighting for his life.

The investigation is still ongoing but neighbors like Eric Rodzankis are questioning their safety.

“I don’t know how many shootings and how many times I hear gunfire down in that area. So long as it’s not making any holes in my house, me, my wife, or my dogs, there’s nothing I can do about it,” Rodzankis says Thursday afternoon.

Other neighbors are echoing Rodzankis saying they are concerned whenever something like this happens and they think a greater police presence in the area could help people feel a little more comfortable in the place they are supposed to feel the safest.
