UPDATE: Suspect in custody after Barboursville shooting

UPDATE (12:46 a.m. on Thursday, December 23): A man is in custody after a shooting late last night in Barboursville, and police said it was all started by an argument between two roommates.

Cabell County Sheriff Chuck Zerkle said it happened just after 10 p.m. last night at 38 Pine Drive.

According to deputies, 55-year-old Qide Wang shot 62-year-old Yan Hai Li in the leg during a fight inside of their home.

Wang was taken into custody shortly after the incident and is now behind bars facing malicious wounding charges.

Zerkle said Li is not facing any life-threatening injuries and is in stable condition.

BARBOURSVILLE, WV (WOWK) – Cabell County Deputies responded to a shooting late Wednesday night.

Sheriff Chuck Zerkle says the shooting was between two co-workers at a home along Pine Drive, just after 10 p.m.

Sheriff Zerkle says the shooter is in custody and no serious injuries are being reported.
