UPDATE: Man Arrested After Deputies Say He Stabbed His Father

UPDATE 03.16.19: According to Kanawha County Sheriff’s office, Jaycee Keeney, 21 of Sissonville has been charged with malicious assault. According to Deputies, Keeney stabbed his father, before he was shot himself, the incident happened on Friday on Edens Fork Road.

Keeney was treated for a gunshot wound before being released from the hospital and immediately arrested and transported to the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office for booknig. 

Deputies say no additional charges are anticipated.

Two men have been rushed to a hospital after a shooting and stabbing Friday morning.

The initial call came in around 7 a.m. of reports of a person stabbed and one person shot at a home on Eden’s Fork Road in Sissonville, WV.

According to the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office, the incident stemmed from a domestic dispute between a father and son.

Deputies report the son got into a fight with his dad, escalating to the son stabbing the father with a knife.

Another family member hit the son with a frying pan and were able to push the son out of the house.

The son tried to enter the home again, leading the father to shoot his 21-year-old son.

13 News was on scene as Kanawha County EMS transported those two people to the hospital.

At this time, the father and son are both in critical condition.

Detectives are currently conducting searches and interviews with those involved.

West Virginia State Police were also on scene.
