UPDATE (5:44 p.m. on Friday, April 21, 2023): Dispatchers say I-77S is back open after wood spilled onto the interstate.

CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) — A truck spilled wood into the road at the I-77/I-64 split, causing heavy traffic delays, according to the Charleston Police Department.

Metro 911 officials say all southbound lanes of I-77 are closed.

The Charleston Police Department says no injuries are being reported.
