UPDATE: (8:12 P.M. Aug. 21, 2023) – The fast lane of I-64 West has reopened after a crash involving a tractor trailer.

Kanawha County dispatchers say one person involved took themselves to the hospital following the crash. There is no word on the person’s condition.

KANAWHA COUNTY, WV (WOWK) — A tractor-trailer crash has closed the westbound fast lane of I-64 near the Nitro exit.

The Nitro Fire Department said one person is requesting medical treatment at the scene. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.

The Nitro Police and Fire Departments responded to the crash.
